Unload SMC Appliance patches on the command line

When you load patches, they are copied to the patch storage on the SMC Appliance. Use the unload command to remove patches that have been loaded but not installed from the patch storage on the SMC Appliance.

Note: To revert changes made by a patch that has been installed, roll back the SMC Appliance to the previous version.

Steps

  1. From the command line, log on to the SMC Appliance.
  2. To unload the patch, enter the following command:
    sudo ambr-unload <patch>

Result

The patch is removed from the patch storage on the SMC Appliance. To verify that it has been removed, enter the following command:
ambr-query
Note: Patch files that you manually transferred to the SMC Appliance are removed from the patch storage, but are not deleted from the file system of the SMC Appliance. You must manually delete these patch files.
