Configuration overview of connecting NGFW Engines to the SMC

Configuring management connections for NGFW Engines consists of these main steps.

1. Configure the NGFW Engine in the Management Client.
2. Save an initial configuration on the Management Server. This triggers the creation of a one-time password that the NGFW Engine uses to connect to the Management Server.
3. Install the NGFW Engine to make the NGFW Engine contact the Management Server.
4. Install a policy on the NGFW Engine to transfer the full working configuration from the Management Server to the NGFW Engine.
