Add IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to Master NGFW Engine interfaces
You can add several IPv4 addresses to each Physical Interface or VLAN Interface that does not have a Virtual Resource associated with it.

Steps
- Select Configuration.
- Right-click a Master NGFW Engine, then select Edit <element type>.
- Browse to Interfaces.
- Right-click a physical interface or a VLAN interface, then select or .
- Configure the settings, then click OK.
- Click Save.
Next steps
- If you are configuring a new Master NGFW Engine, or if you want to change the roles the different interfaces have in the configuration, select system communication roles for Master NGFW Engine interfaces.
- Otherwise, refresh the policy to transfer the configuration changes.
IP Address Properties dialog box (Master NGFW Engine interface)
Use this dialog box to define the properties of a Master NGFW Engine interface IP address.
Option | Definition |

Node ID | Shows the number assigned to the node. |
Node | Shows the name of the node. |
IPv4 Address or IPv6 Address | Enter the IPv4 address or the IPv6 address. |
Contact Address
(IPv4 addresses only) |
The IP address that components belonging to another Location use to connect to the interface. Double-clicking the Contact Address cell opens the Exceptions dialog box. |
Comment | Adds a comment to the IP address. |

Resolve IP Address From DNS Name dialog box
Use this dialog box to resolve an IP address from a DNS name.
Option | Definition |

DNS Name | The DNS name that you want to resolve. |
Resolve | Select to display a list of IP addresses that the DNS name resolves to. Note: The IP
addresses are resolved by the computer running the Management Client.
