Create Validate Policy Tasks

Create a Task for validating a policy on selected engines.

For more details about the product and how to configure features, click Help or press F1.

Steps

  1. Select Configuration, then browse to Administration.
  2. Right-click Tasks, then select New > Validate Policy Task.
  3. Configure the settings.
  4. Click OK.

Result

The new task is added to the list of Task Definitions.

Validate Policy Task Properties dialog box

Use this dialog box to validate the currently installed policy on the selected NGFW Engines, or the currently installed Alert Policy on the selected Domains.

Option Definition
Name The name of the element.
Comment

(Optional)

 A comment for your own reference.
Elements Shows the NGFW Engines that you can refresh the policy on.
Resources pane. You can drag and drop elements from this pane.
Filter Allows you to filter the elements shown.
Up Navigates up one level in the navigation hierarchy. Not available at the top level of the navigation hierarchy.
Tools A menu that contains various options, such as for creating new elements or showing elements that have been moved to the Trash.
Target Shows the NGFW Engines that you have selected. Click Add to add an element to the list, or Remove to remove the selected element.
Policy Shows the policy to refresh. Click Select to select an element.
Select Settings Opens the Validate Policy dialog box.
