How component statuses are indicated

The status of NGFW components and monitored third-party components is indicated by colors in most views where the elements are displayed. The status of various system communications is indicated by colors in monitoring diagrams and in the Info pane.

In addition to element status colors, the following icons indicate status:

• Pending configuration or policy changes on an engine are indicated by a blue balloon showing the number of changes next to the engine in the Status tree.
• Hardware malfunctions are indicated with special icons in the Status tree. If any problems are indicated, always check the logs and alerts to find out what is causing the problems.
