NGFW Engine configuration overview

Configuring Firewalls, IPS engines, and Layer 2 Firewalls consists of several general procedures.

1. Install a license for the NGFW Engine.
2. Create an NGFW Engine element and define the basic properties.
3. Configure the NGFW Engine interfaces.
4. Configure the routing.
5. Generate the initial configuration for the NGFW Engine and use it to establish a connection between the engine and the Management Server.
6. Install a policy on the NGFW Engine.
